H2H Foundation / Events / World Environment Day

World Environment Day is an annual event that is celebrated on June 5th to raise awareness and encourage action for the protection of our environment.

The food we eat, the air we breathe, the water we drink and the climate that makes our planet habitable come from nature. Each Year a mature tree cleans our air, absorbing 22 kg of carbon dioxide CO2, , releasing oxygen O2 in exchange. Despite all the benefits that our nature gives us, we still mistreat it. Human actions such as deforestation, intensified agriculture, overuse of resources, pollution, and acceleration of climate change, have pushed nature beyond its limits. It would take 1.6 Earths to meet the demands that humans make of nature each year. That is why we all need to protect nature.

Join us on World Environment Day as we come together to celebrate our beautiful planet and take action to address the urgent environmental issues we face. Together, we can make a difference and create a more sustainable and resilient future for all.
