On February 6, 2024, the H2H Foundation Team held a meeting at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) for the presentation of the “Albanian Municipality Dam Removal – DARE” project. The purpose of this meeting was to present the main findings up to this stage of the project and discuss the removal of nonfunctional dams that have been used for irrigation. Project manager Erjon Kalaja ipresented the issues of decommissioning of non-functional dams and the reasons for decommissioning/removing these dams from use.
