The H2H Foundation team in cooperation with the chairman of AlbCOLD, Mr. Arjan Jovani held a meeting with the Ambassador of Netherlands in Albania, Mr. Reinout Vos. The focus of the meeting was the discussion on the management of water resources and the state of dams in Albania.

The Netherlands has a long and successful history of managing water resources. To ensure a sustainable water supply, the Dutch have implemented various measures, including:

building dams and reservoirs,

developing underground water sourcese, and

reusing of water.

The ambassador said that Albania is rich in water resources and it is a challenge for the maintenance of all dams.

We are very grateful for the time and opportunity you gave us to present our project for the removal of dysfunctional dams in Albania.

This activity is organized within the “Albanian Municipality DARE (Dam Removal)” project, which is implemented by the H2H Foundation and supported by the European Open Rivers Program.
